I and others in DCNS, ACS, and MacDev have been working to provide
support and resources for Macintosh developers at MIT through the MacDev
user group. This group will provide access to compilers & development
tools such as Think C, MPW, and the MacTCP developers suite. We also
provide books and electronic resources such as the Apple Developers CD
and code samples of Athena services which have already been ported to the
Mac. And most importantly we provide an opportunity Macintosh developers
to share information and for new developers to learn from more
experienced developers.
DCNS's primary goal in supporting MacDev is to promote and facilitate the
development of TCP/IP based network applications for the Macintosh
throughout MIT.
MacDev meets at 5pm in E40-302 the third Thursday of each month (except
May). We also have a public mailing list (macdev@mit.edu) and discuss
archive
Meeting Name: macintosh_development
Host: menelaus.mit.edu
Pathname: /usr/spool/discuss/macdev
For more information on the MIT MacDev user group write to
