Hi Senate,
Alex Jordan has requested to spend the remaining Sustainability meeting
food budget on a brainstorming session (see below; remaining funds are
currently $268.10, according to the records at
https://ua.mit.edu:444/treasury/finance_core/reporting/?term=2010-spring&area=1).
This request seems reasonable to me.
This request fits handily within the $500 limit that the FPRC report
recommends be the cap for the Treasurer authorizing intra-project
transfers based on the notification of Senate[1]. Therefore, unless
objections are received prior to 5PM on Friday, I will inform Alex that
she may proceed with this plan. I'd imagine that Alex would be happy to
respond to any questions or concerns you might have.
Thanks,
Alex Dehnert
UA Treasurer
[1] The notification precedure outlined is:
> Notification: For some larger transfers, the Treasurer should generally
> make them only after notifying of the Senate. Should two or more
> Senators or voting members of the Executive Committee object within
> three days, the transfer should not be made, but must instead should be
> approved by Senate.

Subject: Sustainability budget
Hi Alex,
I have a question about my committee's budget. If I wanted to allocate our
"meeting food" money towards food for another event (a brainstorming session
that all students are invited to via email and possibly posters), would that be
kosher?
Thanks,
Alex
