Dear Exec,
Tim and I are pleased to announce that this year's UA Retreat will be
taking place on October 24 and 25. The retreat is an ideal opportunity
for the UA to get to know each other better, engage in deeper reflection
about our goals for the upcoming year, and take a break from MIT.
This year, the retreat will be on Cape Cod at the Red Jacket Resort. We
will be leaving sometime around 9 AM on Saturday, October 24, and
returning by afternoon / early evening on Sunday, October 25. Tim and I
will send out an agenda and more details in the coming weeks; if you have
suggestions for agenda items (discussion topics, relevant reports, and so
on), please let us know. Additionally, we would appreciate it if you
could email us at ua-senate-officers@mit.edu to confirm your attendance.
Unfortunately, due to space and financial limitations, we currently have
to limit attendance to the Chair of each committee. However, we are
currently engaging in talks with the Student Activities Office regarding
funding the retreat in whole or in part. We would love to be able to
invite the committee Vice-Chairs, in recognition of all the work you do
for your committees and the UA, and we will keep you updated on this
front.
