Agenda:
1. Annual Report on Tuition and Financial Aid =E2=80=94 Provost Martin =
Schmidt
The Provost will brief the Faculty on annual changes in tuition and
financial aid.
2. Update on Volpe =E2=80=94 Mr. Israel Ruiz
The Executive Vice President and Treasurer will brief the Faculty on MIT's
involvement in the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center site.
3. Proposal to Establish an Umbrella Degree Type: Master of Applied
Science (MASc) =E2=80=94 Professor Krishna Rajagopal
The Chair of the Faculty will present a motion to establish a new umbrella
degree type for one-year professional master=E2=80=99s degrees with no
thesis requirement and to revise the Rules and Regulations of the Faculty
accordingly, and a motion to reclassify the Master of Data, Economics,
and Development Policy as Master of Applied Science in Data, Economics, and
Development Policy.
4. Proposal to Create a Master of Applied Science Degree in Supply
Chain Management =E2=80=94 Professor Yossi Sheffi
Professor Sheffi will present a motion to establish a new MASc program.
