Only Ecuador, Bolivia, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela voted against =20
the Colombian proposal to bring together the foreign ministers at the =20
OAS. This regime gradually loses support at continental level. While =20
the US, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Barbados, =20
Canada, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Paraguay, Saint Lucia, =20
Uruguay and Colombia voted in favor. The following countries abstained =20
from explicitly supporting Venezuela: Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint =20
Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and =20

Republic and Dominica. They are not in favor or Colombia or Venezuela, =20

positions of the countries in dispute. The voting system of the OAS =20
requires an absolute majority of votes in favor to approve any =20
proposal. Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Guyana and Paraguay, members of =20
Unasur, explicitly voted for Colombia. Argentina, Brazil and Suriname =20
are not in favor of any position. The only remaining supports to =20
Venezuela in Unasur are Ecuador and Bolivia. Next round in Unasur will =20
be interesting.
Intolerance is isolated without voting options. No politician from =20
either officialism or opposition is willing today to promote a =20
homophobic agenda. A resounding national consensus has been achieved =20
in favor of promoting the inclusion of sexual diversity, because we =20
have enough votes to determine the outcome of any election. The major =20
recent achievement of the Democratic Unity was to include sexually =20
diverse candidacies as to promoting vote migration from sexually =20
diverse officialism to the opposition, and thus reach the coveted =20
majority in the National Assembly.
Promoters of homophobia claim that giving one or two small steps in =20
favor of sexual diversity does not mean that will continue from there, =20
at least not in this election campaign. And how it won?t get any =20
further from there? Current achievements are indeed insufficient and =20
it is necessary to continue insisting to achieve absolute inclusion. =20
Here is the great unifying theme of this campaign. The homophobic =20
defeat constitutes necessary but not sufficient condition for a better =20
Venezuela. In addition to the existing marriage discrimination, the =20
current constitution suffers from an excess of presidential detriment =20
of the rest of the government. We therefore propose to change it =20
through a constituent assembly.
Having exhausted their arguments, promoters of homophobia end up =20
recognizing that lack of equal marriage is a problem, and turn to =20

There is sufficient political maturity in the sexually diverse =20
community for not letting be discriminated against by boosters of =20
homophobia. It is no coincidence to intend rejecting priorities and =20
aspirations of the population sector that will define results in the =20
forthcoming elections. We won?t rest until absolute inclusion is =20
reached. Daily debate will be promoted toward awareness of equal =20
marriage benefits for proper performance of responsible citizenship. =20
The ongoing bullying is a consequence of homophobic culture that will =20
be eradicated through appropriate training and the change in =20
legislation planned by the next National Assembly. We recognize the =20
importance of urgently discussing topics related to equal marriage. =20
Free expression is firm ally to disseminate dangers posed by =20
continuity of homophobia.
Equal marriage is no small thing. As in the advanced capitalist =20
countries, sexually diverse inclusion will be flag of the right, which =20
will sincerely unmask the lies and broken promises that were issued by =20
the ongoing hungering left. Panama seeks to punish homophobia with =20
prison. The draft dictates measures to prevent discrimination based on =20
sexual orientation and gender identity and penalizes non-compliance =20
with sentences of six months to a year in jail and a fine of 500 to =20
5,000 US dollars. The initiative seeks to avoid physical and verbal =20
attacks and psychological pressure against members of sexual =20
minorities such as gays, lesbians, transgenders, bisexuals and =20

mof=E1ndose de los esfuerzos opositores por solucionar errores ajenos. =20
Nos conformamos con que admitan que sufrir=E1n una aplastante derrota en =20
las venideras elecciones, y vaticinamos que observar=E1n resignadamente =20

y Surinam no est=E1n a favor de ninguna postura. Los =FAnicos apoyos que =20
quedan a Venezuela en Unasur son Ecuador y Bolivia. Pr=F3ximo round en =20
Unasur ser=E1 interesante.
La intolerancia se a=EDsla sin opciones de voto. Ning=FAn partido pol=EDtico=

ni del oficialismo ni de la oposici=F3n est=E1 dispuesto hoy en d=EDa a =20
promover una agenda homof=F3bica. Se ha logrado un rotundo consenso =20
nacional a favor de promover la inclusi=F3n de la sexodiversidad, ya que =20
contamos con suficientes votos para definir el resultado de cualquier =20
elecci=F3n. El gran logro reciente de la Unidad Democr=E1tica ha sido =20
incluir candidaturas sexodiversas para promover la migraci=F3n de voto =20
del oficialismo sexodiverso hacia la oposici=F3n y as=ED llegar a la =20
ansiada mayor=EDa en la Asamblea Nacional.
Los promotores de la homofobia alegan que dar uno o dos pasitos en =20
favor de la sexodiversidad no quiere decir que va a pasar de ah=ED, al =20
menos no en esta campa=F1a electoral. =BFY c=F3mo no va a pasar de ah=ED? lo=
s =20
logros actuales en efecto son insuficientes y es necesario seguir =20
insistiendo hasta lograr la absoluta inclusi=F3n. He aqu=ED el gran tema =20
unificador de esta campa=F1a electoral. La derrota homof=F3bica constituye =
=20
condici=F3n necesaria mas no suficiente para una mejor Venezuela. Adem=E1s =
=20
de la discriminaci=F3n matrimonial vigente, la actual constituci=F3n =20
padece de un exceso de presidencialismo en detrimento del resto de los =20
poderes p=FAblicos. Por ello proponemos cambiarla mediante una asamblea =20
constituyente.
Al agotarse sus argumentos, los promotores de la homofobia terminan =20
reconociendo que la ausencia de matrimonio igualitario es un problema, =20
y recurren a trivializar la lucha mediante la chanza que hay que estar =20
bien desubicado en el mundo para entender que existen problemas m=E1s =20
importantes en el pa=EDs. Los dem=E1s problemas los padecemos todos por =20
igual. Pero el problema de la discriminaci=F3n hacia la sexodiversidad =20
es un problema adicional para un segmento de la poblaci=F3n, que recibe =20
vejaciones discriminatorias por parte de quienes impunemente se =20
regocijan a trav=E9s del bullying. Seg=FAn art=EDculo de Valent=EDn Arenas =
=20
Amig=F3 en El Nacional, la destrucci=F3n y divisi=F3n de las iglesias es =20
objetivo exclusivo del r=E9gimen. El problema con las iglesias es su =20
absurda y obsoleta objeci=F3n al matrimonio igualitario. Mientras las =20
iglesias inciten el empe=F1o en sus seguidores para seguir discriminando =20
al pr=F3jimo, seguiremos repudi=E1ndolas hasta vencer.
Existe suficiente madurez pol=EDtica en la comunidad sexodiversa para no =20
seguirse dejando discriminar por los propulsores de la homofobia. No =20
es casual que se pretenda desestimar prioridades y anhelos del sector =20
poblacional que definir=E1 resultados en la venidera contienda =20
electoral. No descansaremos hasta lograr absoluta inclusi=F3n. =20
Fomentaremos diario debate y concientizaci=F3n de beneficios del =20
matrimonio igualitario para correcto desempe=F1o de ciudadan=EDa =20
responsable. El bullying en curso es consecuencia de cultura =20
homof=F3bica que ser=E1 erradicada mediante la formaci=F3n adecuada y el =20
cambio de legislaci=F3n previsto por la pr=F3xima asamblea nacional. =20
Reconozcamos la importancia de debatir urgentemente los temas alusivos =20
al matrimonio igualitario. La libre expresi=F3n es firme aliada para =20
difundir peligros que acarrean continuidad de la homofobia.
El matrimonio igualitario no es poca cosa. Al igual que en los pa=EDses =20
capitalistas avanzados, la inclusi=F3n sexodiversa ser=E1 bandera de la =20
derecha, que sinceramente desenmascarar=E1 las mentiras y promesas =20
incumplidas que emiti=F3 la hambreadora izquierda en curso. Panam=E1 busca =
=20
sancionar la homofobia con c=E1rcel. El anteproyecto dicta medidas para =20
prevenir la discriminaci=F3n por raz=F3n de orientaci=F3n sexual e identidad=
=20
de g=E9nero y sanciona su incumplimiento con penas de seis meses a un =20
a=F1o de c=E1rcel y con multas de 500 a 5.000 d=F3lares. La iniciativa busca=
=20
evitar las agresiones f=EDsicas y verbales y la presi=F3n psicol=F3gica =20
contra miembros de minor=EDas sexuales como gays, lesbianas, =20
transexuales, bisexuales y travestis.
