Dear All,
I hope all is well.
To those of you I have not met, I am Matthew Davis. Together with Sophia
Liu, we are the new UA President and Vice President.
This past month has been a difficult time for our organization. It has
elicited a wide range of emotions for many people, and I cannot imagine the
type of pressure and scrutiny each of you has been under. Further, having
such a transition of leadership that occurred can be difficult for many. I
am always available if you want to talk about what happened. With a new
President and Vice President, it is my hope that we can put behind the past
wholly behind us and focus on what is yet to come for our student
government and the undergraduate student body.As student leaders, we should
draw on our mutual passion for helping others and improving student life,
to guide our efforts moving forward and make our campus a better place.
As you may imagine, Sophia and I have a lot of catching up to do. I look
forward to hearing what you are working on, what your plans are for the
future - and share our plans moving forward. To that end, I would like to
have an Exec Meeting this Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:30PM in the UA
Office. Please join us - I am very excited to meet everyone, learn about
the wonderful things you have accomplished, and build the future of our
campus together.
