Hi,

Just one quick thing about the athletics budget. I know it's pretty much
policy at this point that we allocate money for meals during orientation
for athletes because the dining halls aren't open yet, but why don't we do
the same thing for winter sports for the first few days of IAP when the
dining halls aren't open either? Yes, I realize I'm saying this as a member
of the swim team, which would be affected, so I could be biased, but if we
gave money for meals this year then it actually wouldn't affect the swim
team because we'll be on a training trip. I just don't see how it's
completely fair to give fall sports free meals because the dining halls
aren't open but leave winter sport athletes without meals when dining halls
aren't open the first few days of January.

I also would like to see some more info on the innovation committee's
budget. If I remember correctly we mainly decided to create the innovation
committee because we said we could always decide not to fund it if we
didn't like what its plans were. Without a description of any sort of plans
I don't feel entirely comfortable giving it 5k in discretionary funds. I
don't really need line items, but I'd at least like to see something...

Thanks,

Sean
