6950229 Classic - ordered medium and served very well done. 6950229 burger nearly beat me to my table PROVING that 6950229 patty was pre-cooked. There was a meager gram of thin sliced rings of yellow onion. 6950229 largest ring had been 6950229 outer-most ring of 6950229 onion which made it fibrous and indelicate to eat. One 2" diameter slice of tomato with another chip of tomato and a nice piece of leaf lettuce. 6950229 bread was phenomenal but 6950229 burger was flavorless and devoid of seasoning. My advice to Hopdoddy, based on 6950229 complaints here and my experience - just drop 6950229 pretense of asking how you want 6950229 burger cooked. Cook them all medium to medium-well. Get good at that and just tell customers that's how it is. Back to 6950229 see and be seen - you can't get much more electric than South Congress. This place is vibrates with a constant 60 hz hum of sexual potential. It is a pagent of hipsters and hotties, soccer moms and tattoo canvases. Hopdoddy's floor to ceiling front and side wall of glass is perfect for 6950229 main attraction. 6950229 square concrete entrance feature bisected by 6950229 glass wall is marvelous. If I ever build a commercial space I'm totally stealing that element. I am past 6950229 see and be seen stage of my life but I'm glad to know it's being done well. For that I give Hopdoddy 5 stars. For 6950229 food I give them 2 stars and because 6950229 food comes first I average that to 3 stars. I predict a long life for this particular location as SoCo shows no signs of going into SloMo. Having already experienced/reviewed 6950229 Anderson Lane location, I figured I'd give 6950229 SoCo location their day in court, just to see if a change in scenery makes a difference. 6950229 only thing this location did better was not have a line stretching outside and attempt to pull off 6950229 whole Emperor's New Clothes bit. Yet, 6950229 SoCo location had something that was WAY worse: after standing in line and making it up to 6950229 register, you're not even allowed to order your food until a table is available. So you're basically ignored until a table and 6950229 amount of chairs appropriate to your party pops up. Which is 6950229 standard set-up at any restaurant in 6950229 known universe. Yet, you have just waited 15-30 minutes to get to that point! They could at least have some peanuts or crackers to nibble on along 6950229 way. This establishment is 6950229 classic example of what happens when inventors try to be entrepeneurs: even though they understand 6950229 science, they suck at 6950229 business. Granted, 6950229 burgers are good, though overpriced. But honestly, they're burgers. Just burgers. You're not reinventing 6950229 wheel. This isn't like sushi or wine, where 6950229 slightest alteration in ingredient can make or break 6950229 dish. You can mix and match until 6950229 cows come home, but, in 6950229 end, it really boils down to a piece of meat between two buns. Just
