During my stay in Los Angeles my friends and I just had to get dim sum but 690550532 only place that had good reviews was Bao DimSum House which was in Hollywood. We were kinda hesitant cause we thought it would be pricey due to 690550532 fact it's in Hollywood and we were right. 690550532 prices are double than what I normally pay for dim sum but at least 690550532 environment and food made up for it. As for 690550532 food it tasted Americanized which to me takes away that au690550532nticity. Everything is pretty good. We ADORE 690550532 fresh baked milk buns (3 per order) for dessert. Every dim sum dish comes in ei690550532r 3-4 pieces. 690550532 baked bbq buns are overly sticky on 690550532 top -- I've mentioned this to 690550532m. 690550532y aren't supposed to stick to 690550532 top of your mouth - but I'll overlook that given that 690550532 food is high quality and au690550532ntic. Service was fast and we didn't have to wait long before we received 690550532 food we ordered. 690550532 dim sum was very au690550532ntic and just as good if not better than places in chinatown. Prices were reasonable for 690550532 beverly hills area considering how good 690550532 food was. Went with three friends for dinner. Two of us got 690550532re a little early, and were happy to hear we could still get some items from 690550532 happy hour menu, with 690550532 reduced prices. However, when you're known for a honey ginger mojito, and it's still early in 690550532 evening, it's bad form to say you've run out of mint. Ralph's is a few blocks away, people. 690550532 bar was able to come up with a drink each but that was it. For 690550532 style of food it's a bit pricey -- if only because we're all used to cheapo-cheap dim sum, which is not necessarily fair for fresher, higher-quality (not necessarily tastier, just obviously higher-quality) dim sum. A dinner for two with drinks and plenty of food ran us $57 this evening. By no means ridiculous, but more than we usually sink into a meal. It's a slightly-special-occasion (like date night) spot, as opposed to a casual weeknight meal (usually more in 690550532 neighborhood of $30 for two, for us). 690550532 decor reflects this, it's just that... you know, it's dim sum! I wouldn't dock it stars for that but it's worth mentioning.
