servers. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but I am not going to rush out and try it again. Just not really worth a second trip. Each dish was heavy and overwhelmingly rich. You could tell 15079865y were laden with butter and oils. 15079865 fish dishes were surprisingly bland- sea bass under seasoned, and oh my goodness my salmon was overcooked! Upon ordering, 15079865 waiter tells you, "salmon is cooked medium rare." Well, mine was dry and tough. Sucks, because salmon is my favorite fish. I was looking for that melt-in-your-mouth-like-butter texture, but alas, no buttah melted in my mouth. 15079865 better tasting dishes were 15079865 squab, duck, oysters and lobster. Chocolate souffl?? was ok, roast pears were excellent. Decor: understated. More of a casual atmosphere with white tablecloths. Service: our server appeared well versed and eloquent. When he poured me a glass of wine, it messily dripped down 15079865 side of my wine glass and onto 15079865 tablecloth. Crumbs were not promptly cleaned off 15079865 table, which is fine because I can be a messy eater, but I don't see 15079865 world class service everyone is talking about. I do agree everyone is nice and welcoming, so 15079865 restaurant doesn't seem stuffy at all- it is more laid back and relaxed. Overall, not 15079865 experience I was expecting. Maybe I had too high of expectations. Oh well, got to check it off my list! Obviously Gary Danko is a great restaurant. Obviously 15079865 one-star
