It's wild to me how many Michelin rated restaurants are now available in Skokie, IL! Which should mean that it's wise for you to bookmark these places and create a chance to stop by while it's still hot shit. And let's remember a very important detail here.. parking is regulated by Skokie meters which still accept nickels and dimes to purchase time. Unlike Chicago's costly and unwise choice of using LAZ parking.
In the realm of Mediterranean & Middle eastern cuisine, if that is of interest, this is a worthy venture. If having a chance to stop in during a weekday, I insist trying their lunch special. Get the plate with succulent chicken kabobs, Afghan rice and grilled veggies. It's a grand feast that won't break the bank. The Afghan rice is Basmati rice topped with caramelized carrot strips and raisins. The colors will entice you and the taste will leave you wanting. Another entree served with Afghan rice is the Kabuli Palau where the tasteful addition to the wonderful rice are tender morsels of braised lamb shank. Very tasty. Whenever I go back, it's my usual choice. The food is very good and there aren't many items that would turn you off to Afghan cuisine.
