lier this month, High Court judges John Thomas and Duncan Ouseley said
Assange could apply to the Supreme Court to argue that point and
seek to prove that Europe's process of carrying out extradition was flawed. However,
Thomas warned Assange that his chance of success "may be extraordinarily slim."Assange
-- who leads the WikiLeaks anti-secrecy website -- was accused of rape,
coercion and molestation following encounters with two Swedish women in August 2010.
Swedish authorities issued a European Arrest Warrant on rape and molestation accusations,
and Assange was arrested in London in December 2010.The 40-year-old denies wrongdoing
and is currently held on bail on the condition that he lives
under curfew at a supporter's country estate in eastern England and wears
an electronic tag.Claes Borgstrom, the lawyer in Sweden representing the two women,
said the decision would cause more strain for his clients -- and
predicted Assange would eventually face extradition.
s of years hidden in hills near the Dead Sea in Israel
-- is nothing short of astonishing. It is part of what was a
secret ancient library concealed in a series of 11 caves, now known
as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The entire collection comprises approximately 900 different
texts written in Greek, Aramaic and ancient Hebrew that were uncovered in
the 1940s and '50s. The Ten Commandments scroll itself was found in
Cave 4, where a majority of the documents were discovered."[Cave 4] was
the motherload of the Dead Sea Scrolls," Kohn said. The only other copy
of the Ten Commandments dating from around the same era is the
Nash Papyrus. It's 50 to 100 years older than the scroll copy,
but the Nash document does not contain all 10 commandments and is
in extremely fragile fragments. The only other ancient records of the Commandments
date from at least 1,000 years later. With its proscriptions against theft, murder
and adultery, some people will note the irony of the Ten Command
osed financial terms -- with Sylvester Stallone, after maintaining that he was
the uncompensated inspiration behind Stallones Rocky Balboa character.Regardless of who wins and
loses, the growing stack of lawsuits may be helping draw the line
between a writer or director who draws inspiration from someone elses story
or real-life events, and one who unlawfully plagiarizes it.According to U.S. copyright
law, ideas are free for anyone to use. Only specific expressions of
those ideas are protected. So anyone can make a movie about a
boy wizard who goes to school for wizards, but the law prevents
someone from copying the specific expression in the Harry Potter books, like
the plot twists, the traits of the characters, the names and dialog.
The line is grey sometimes, explained Matt Belloni, news director at The
Hollywood Reporter. Hollywood is very sensitive about stealing ideas because of the
long history of lawsuits. But the publicity surrounding the lawsuits does

<font style="color: #FCFCFC">iece of material data about loans held by Fannie Mae was known
to the United States government to the investing public," Mudd said. "The
SEC is wrong, and I look forward to a court where fairness
and reason -- not politics -- is the standard for justice."Syron's lawyer
couldn't be immediately reached for comment.According to the lawsuit, Fannie told investors
in 2007 that it had roughly $4.8 billion worth of subprime loans
on its books, or just 0.2 percent of its portfolio. The SEC
says that Fannie actually had about $43 billion worth of products targeted
to borrowers with weak credit, or 11 percent of its holdings.Mudd told
a congressional panel in March 2007 that Fannie's subprime business represented less
than "2 percent of our book." He also said the company held
subprime mortgages "very carefully."Freddie told investors in 2006 that it held between
$2 billion and $6 billion of subprime mortgages on its books. The

said he has never described what he saw as anal rape or
anal intercourse and couldn't see Sandusky's genitals, but that "it was very
clear that it looked like there was intercourse going on."In its report
last month, the grand jury summarized McQueary's testimony as saying he "saw
a naked boy ... with his hands up against the wall, being
subjected to anal intercourse by a naked Sandusky."Under cross examination by an
attorney for Curley, McQueary reiterated that he had not seen Sandusky penetrating
or fondling the boy but was nearly certain they were having intercourse
because the two were standing so close and Sandusky's arms were wrapped
around the youth. He said he peeked into the shower three times --
the first via a mirror, the other two times directly. The last
time he looked in, Sandusky and the boy had separated, he said.
He said he didn't say anything, but "I know they saw me.
They looked directly in my eye, both of them."McQueary said the entire

REYKJAVIK, Iceland -- A top representative says the Palestinians won't stop pressing
the U.N. Security Council until it accepts their bid for full U.N.
membership.Speaking in Iceland on Thursday, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki says if
the Palestinians are rejected in their current bid for statehood, they will
just keep trying."A fourth time, we might lose, and a fifth time
we might lose, and we'll go again until we reach a point
when we will win," Malki says. The United States has threatened to veto
the Palestinian bid, saying a negotiated settlement with Israel should come first.Last
month, Iceland became the first Western European country to recognize Palestine as
an independent state. Malki was slated for more talks in Iceland on
Friday.
