dead, as they gathered after the air strikes Wednesday that killed a
group of smugglers along the border, one of the deadliest episodes in
the conflict between the Turkish state and Kurdish rebels who took up

the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-old son, who was shot in the
head at a Newark apartment, authorities said Saturday.Wakir Bryant, 27, was arrested
Friday evening on aggravated manslaughter charges in the death of Mikhy Robinson,
who suffered a gunshot wound to the mouth earlier in the day,
according to police and the Essex County prosecutor's office. They called the
shooting a "senseless crime."Bail was set at $1 million, according to a

for such measures has been so great," he said.Bernstein, now a senior
fellow with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, chalked the impasse

news from Japan. I'd covered the 2004 Tsunami. I knew what a
mind-blowing story that was. When the reports started coming in about this
one, it was clear we had to be there. My f
