My experiences were similar to what others have posted here. I spent a few minutes on the phone updating personal information, and then 5 minutes of the seller trying to get my credit card information. While I have no doubts as to the quality of Harris' book, I am greatly concerned that our personal information was given out in this manner and that I spent any amount of time during my work day fending off a salesman.

I recall there being debate at previous national conventions over the use of our personal information by the National Office, and the deal between Geico and APO (which has been a great money saving deal for me personally) caused a great deal of debate amongst actives and alums.

On a similar note, I got a "donate to the annual fund" APO calendar in the mail around the same time.

While I've seen all of this before and am not terribly fazed by it, I've heard concerns from other alums that think they are being pushed too much for donations or who want their contact information to remain private.

Clearly Harris has had some successful marketing efforts in the last year or so!
