This message bounced from the discuss meeting. I have corrected the

Subject: WALDEN. THURSDAY. DAYTIME.
Date: Mon, 18 May 92 12:32:11 EDT

Walden Pond. Thursday. I'm going. Anyone who wants to join me should
meet me at 10:45AM (yes, that's AM, hence "daytime") at the point of 66.
I'm going via Commuter Rail, which means going out to Porter Square.
Commuter Rail is $6 round trip and is about a ~20 minute trip. Then walk
the tracks from Lincoln Station to Walden (about ~30 minutes). Then do
whatever the hell i and everyone else feels like.

Return trains are:
1:57pm, 3:55, 4:20, 5:24, 6:49, and probably a few more... ask at Porter
square for a schedule.

Notes:
1) People should RSVP, unless they're damn sure they'll be on time. Note
that I won't wait longer than 10:50.
2) People should bring cards, frisbees, etc. The water is cold enough that
i didn't want to swim for more than, say, 300 seconds, but it was pleasant
enough for about 200 seconds.
3) There's a minimart right across from the Lincoln station, so people can
get food/water there.
4) Feel free to forward this to any other lists.

If you're not up to 11am, there're also trains leaving Porter at 1:20,
3:00, and 4:00. As you come out of the turnstiles from the subway, bear
left, and go up the (only) stairs to the left. That's the Commuter Rail
platform. Take the train to Lincoln stop (note that a roundtrip ticket is
slightly cheaper than two one-ways). Keep walking in the same direction as
the train for about 20-30 mins. You pass under two bridges (three? can
never remember). Anyways, there'll be a chain-link fence on your right.
(It's the ONLY chain-link fence along the walk.) There should be a path
leading down to a big body of water. Welcome to Walden. On the far side
>from that entry is a beach (there's also a restroom structure over there).

q's, etc, to me.
