ARCTAN will be hosting our next blood drive with the American Red Cross fro=
m October 10th through the 14th. It will be our first weeklong blood drive =
this school year, and we're trying to get as many donors as we can.
The US is currently facing the worst blood shortage in over a decade due to=
complications from the pandemic and a lack of blood drives recently. There=
's been a 62% drop in high school and college blood drives since the start =
of the pandemic. There is a dangerously low blood supply right now, and hos=
pitals need help.
If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. If you can=92t =
donate, also consider signing up to volunteer for an hour or two! Most dona=
tions take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve, an=
d become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and MIT ARCTAN w=
hile also getting some snacks!
