1/18 Meeting

Talent Show
Sami=92s writeup was sent to Vicki last semester but will be sent to =
Nina/everyone
CAC was emailed
We need to pick date (think of 3/4 weekends that work the best for us) =
to tell the CAC to reserve space
Sami will contact previous/potential acts
Relevant emails copied to an apo-talent-exec list (which has =
Sami/Nina/Will/Wilbur/Victor)
Four weekends considered for talent show (March 17/18, April 14/15, =
April 21/22, April 28/29)
Sidenote - initiation needs to be early this year, mid-April or earlier
Second sidenote - April 22nd is Steak Fry
We=92ll choose based on what spaces are open and what events will =
conflict (avoid overlapping with Logs/Chorallaries)
Plan: set date, reserve space, start advertising
Still do art/etc auction
Focus: get people to come, work hard on publicity
Question: Did the money from last year get to the Community Arts Center?
Ask at next chapter meeting if there are other charities we=92d want to =
donate to this year
Consider getting donated items for concessions/auction from businesses =
(e.g. the Red Sox) or alumni - brainstorm in Talent Show-specific =

Jan 29-Feb 4, Feb 5-Feb 11/12 are the two weeks of rush
Will wants two fellowships, two service events, and a brother meeting =
open to prospectives (encouraged), info sessions
One fellowship and one service event in the week we=92re tabling
We should get rooms on campus to do events in - not in APO office
We want flyers, infinite display - depends on budget (but this should be =
a priority)
Planning events! will be the domain of the execs responsible
Events should be ~2 hours
Pledge Ceremony will be the Sunday (Feb 12) at noon
Make space in budget to pay for pledge=92s ice cream/food after pledge =
ceremony
Everyone: wear APO shirts during the two weeks of rush!
Will=92s recruitment chair friend may come in next week/before Rush =
probably during a weekend (plan for Jan 28, 5 or 6 PM, in the office) to =
teach us how to recruit/talk about APO in fun, enthusiastic, exciting =
ways
