Hello All,
I hope that everyone has had a great summer! We are nearly to the beginning
of the semester, so APO is picking up! Book Ex and Rush planning are
underway, and we are hopeful that this will be a great semester.
*Please read this entire email *if possible. There is a lot of really
important information!
*If you are allergic to reading and need tl;dr* then sign up for book Ex
stuff in item 1, sign up to work Midway in item 2, be at the first chapter
meeting (9/8 at 7pm), run for a junior exec position (item 5), and fill out
this survey

1) *Book Exchange*: Chmrr's have been sent out, please fill them out with
your availability. I have included them again in this email.

If you have never done one of the jobs, please sign up alongside an older
active or alumni for your first shift.
2) *Activities Midway*: this will be on Friday! I am not there and neither
is Vicki. If you are interested in PC-ing this then please let me know
ASAP. I have included a brochure that I made for the last midway, and we
have other materials. *SIGN UP ON APO ONLINE!* If you have issues let me
know! -- This is a really important event for us this semester. We need to
build a lasting chapter, so if you are around please help even if it is
just for a bit.
3) *Rush! *: We have started to plan rush. An official schedule of events
will be released soon and individuals can sign up to PC specific events.
The dates are Monday 9/14- Sunday 9/20. We will have the pledge ceremony on
Sunday 9/20 -- clear that date. ALL ACTIVES ARE EXPECTED TO BE THERE. Email
Sue (liangx@mit.edu) if you are interested in PC-ing an event or helping
with publicity.
4) *First Chapter Meeting*: we will have our first chapter meeting on Reg
Day (Tuesday 9/8) at 7pm. EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO BE THERE. I will send out
an agenda later in the week.
5)* Fall Elections*: For this semester we will be electing a new AC,
Historian, APOC Ed, and Office Manager. If you are interested in any of
these positions (especially AC!) please email me and I will list you as a
candidate. We will have the elections at the first meeting.
6)* Pre Semester Survey*: Please fill out this survey. It includes
questions on all areas of APO and it will help out your exec/ chairs a lot!
Please complete it before next Tuesday so I can compile the results by Reg
Day!!
