Hi everyone!

As you probably know, commencement is coming up on June 8th. Perhaps you/didn't/ know that undergrads who volunteer at commencement can extend their housing until June 9th for free! This is a pretty great deal, and you have to sign up*within the next week: http://web.mit.edu/commencement/2012/community/volunteer.html*

"But, catherio,/why/ would I want to stay at MIT longer?" you might ask. Well,/one/ reason is to do service to the college at commencement;/another/ reason is to do/EVEN MORE/service at the*Hooding Ceremony on June 7th!* The hooding ceremony turns to APO each year specifically for help with disability services. We'll be needed roughly 9am-2pm but you can come/go to work around other commitments.

Please*sign up on the chmrr* if you think you would come to the Hooding Ceremony so I can start talking to Traci about numbers (*https://apo.chmrr.net/pc/210*). I won't assume the chmrr reflects the final list of attendees, so feel free to sign up even if you're not 100% positive you'll come.*RIGHT NOW* would be a great time to put your name down.

Commencement volunteering is not an APO project, but you should still do it, and it goes hand-in-hand with the Hooding Ceremony because it's the best way to make sure you still have housing long enough to make it.

Thanks! Hope to see you there!
Yours in LFS,
- catherio
