*BZZZ* Actually, TERISA has a Secure-HTTP server and a client (based on NCSA
Mosaic for X), which you get if you are a member of CommerceNet. The original
SHTTP specification was published in June of '94 (at least, that's the date on
it). The revised specification (dated December '94) did not have _major_
implications in terms of changes to our implementation (a few semantic changes,
and additions to the potential capabilities.)

As I said, you can get a server and an X client from TERISA, or you can get
from SPRY a server (which is available in beta for free (although not _yet_
exportable), and a Windows client that will be shipping by the time the ink is
dry on the deal.
SSL is by no means the only game in town for security on the Web right now.
