For some time now I have tried to read everything I get my hands on that
covers information security. The other day I found a document that was
referred to on this list, I think. It turned out to be a very good comment
to many of the papers and articles I've read on encryption and authentication
although it predates most of them.
So to the following documents I would like to suggest an addition:
> ftp://ftp.internic.net/rfc/rfc1508.txt
> ftp://ftp.internic.net/rfc/rfc1509.txt
> ftp://ftp.internic.net/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-cat-kerb5gss-01.txt
> ftp://ftp.internic.net/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-spkmgss-00.txt
> ftp://ftp.internic.net/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-cat-ftpsec-05.txt

URL:ftp://gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/DEC/SRC/research-reports/SRC-039-appendix.ps.Z
My questions now are:
Are there any papers that comment further on what SRC-039 reveals. Have
some of the problems and redundancies pointed out been fixed or removed?
Any further suggested reading would be very appreciated. I have come to
understand that to participate in these discussions, one should first
be sure to carefully study at least parts of the great amount of papers
and articles written on the subject.
