AFAIK never used in a sentence.

{muvwI'} is the nomen agentis from {muv} "join".

Apparently a device.  Other known medical devices are {petqaD} "bone-mender" (a.k.a. a "bone knitter") and {'uD Haqtaj} "laser scalpel".
