Elias, we told the list... we asked a long time ago, "We're planning on
teaching a course -- any pointers?" but no one replied. :/
Regarding the course: i'm afraid that only MIT Community can register for
the course (since we're receiving funding, we can only accept MIT
Community). However, i believe that we can distribute the course materials
without worry (especially about copyright) etc... however, the course
materialis are primarily Kevin's work, so i can't really speak for that.
(I'm afraid i have no information about the convention -- this is the first
time i heard it.)
With regards to Kevin's posting:
1) Where can we send in corrections? I too have noticed a few typos
(spelling things hoD instead of HoD, or something similar)
2) With officers, the mapping is to English names, so i assume that they
are using the English hierarchy:
ensign
lieutenant, junior grade (navy) / second lieutenant (air force)
lieutenant
lieutenant commander
commander
captain
commodore
rear admiral
vice admiral
admiral
the ones that are tabbed aren't in the dictionary; however, an
extrapolation is:
lieutenant j.g. == SoghHom
lieutenant commander == la'Hom
rear admiral == 'aj qan
vice admiral == 'ajHom

On a completely different note, i've been trying to come up with Klingon
insults/proverbs. Well, translating well-known insults/proverbs into
Klingon terms and language. Can the grammarians comment on the following?
