I would say that "jISovbe'" is the correct form. While there is an
object that you don't know, it is not stated in the sentence. From page 33 of
the dictionary, in referring to the "no object" prefixes:
"This set of prefixes is also used when an object is possible, but unknown or
vague. Thus, jIyaj 'I understand' can be used when the speaker unerstands
things in general, knows what is going on, or understands what another speaker
just said."
