For "hardy", as in "tough, durable", I might use something like:
*SIQlaH* "can endure"
*taHlaH* "can go on"
*'omlaH* "can resist"
*cherghlaH* "can tolerate"
*roSlu'chugh HoStaH *"takes a lickin', keeps on tickin'" (*chaq Saghchu'be'
qechvam...*)
