_BEGIN_

                         NCSU Linux Expo '95

The NCSU Linux Users Group is planning the Linux event of the CENTURY! We're
planning what we call the "NCSU Linux Expo '95" for April 22. Exact place is
still to be determined, but it will be on or near the North Carolina State
University campus.

What do we plan? Right now we plan to have several demo machines showing off
everything cool about Linux. We also have a tentative commitment from Michael
K. Johnson, Rik Faith, and Marc Ewing as speakers. We are actively seeking
other Linux speakers. Also on hand will be representatives from companies that
sell Linux related products and representatives from local hardware vendors.

What will you get? Lots of good Linux info and lots of demos of what Linux can
do. And for you NCSU Engineering students, you can satisfy one of your
technical meeting requirements. Right now, we have a growing list of committed
speakers that will give insight into what makes Linux tick. We also have
several door prizes to give away from the "Linux Journal". We expect plenty
more to come....

What do we need? We need people interested in Linux to show up! This is
really
snowballing into a BIG event. If you're interested in Linux, you should be
there.

This event will be open to the public and as far as we know, will be free. We
hope to have seminars and demos going all day and food will most likely be
available on site.

This is a preliminary announcement. More definate details will come forth
shortly. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to
email me (djbarnes@eos.ncsu.edu).
