Before I get even more worried mail, I guess I'd better state here on
c.o.l.announce that YES, THIS WAS A JOKE. THE COPYRIGHT ON LINUX HASN'T
CHANGED, AND ALL IS WELL. THERE ARE NO LICENCING FEES.
Just to make you feel even safer: if there actually existed anything
like a "Auto-Licensing Software", don't you think Microsoft would have
used it already? And the "automatic deduction of the licensing fee from
your bank account" should also have made you a bit suspicious. I don't
think any major banking facilities would be open to that suggestion from
me, damn their cold little hearts ;-)
I thank those of you who did notice that it was a joke, and sent
encouragment to "ivemoney@linux.helsinki.fi". Dear Bill Gates, your
mail was very appreciated, and I'm sure we can come to an understanding.
