Hi!
The third release of the cmu snmp-package (agent and application) for
Linux is avail at
ftp.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de (134.169.34.15):
/pub/local/cmu-snmp2.1.2l3-src.tar.gz
and will hopefully appear at
sunsite.unc.edu:
/pub/Linux/system/Network/admin/cmu-snmp2.1.2l3-src.tar.gz
Please note: You need Linux v1.1.60 or later with libc v4.6.27 or
later to compile and run the agent. Older versions may
or may not work.
NEWS:
* The writable system group variables are now setable and saved
in the config file.
* The private community string is now setable in the config
file; other communities than ``public'' and the private
string are removed.
* The host resources MIB (RFC 1514) is partially added
(hrSystem, hrStorage, hrDevice, hrSWRun and hrSWRunPerf).
* A snmpset application and manpages from dpz@noc.rutgers.edu
are added.
* A installconf script is provided to install config files ready
to use with MD5 authentification.
* Minor fixes.
BUGS:
* The code for setting enties in ipRouteTable is now enabled,
but does not work.
* Walking along the party entries shows additional entries
with reversed ip-adresses.
Have fun, Erik
