                   MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY LINUX USERS GROUP

Hi everyone. I am pleased to announce the creation of the Marquette
University Linux Users Group (MU-LUG). We (current members) are just a
bunch of people that love Linux and want to help other people get
started with Linux. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. We
will try to setup an organizational meeting in February to lay the
ground work, so please email me if you are interested. You can also
check out the MU-LUG homepage. The URL is:

    		http://vinny.csd.mu.edu/mu-lug.html

We hopes to accomplish the following goals:

    	  * get the whole world to use Linux
	  * argue over the pronunciation of Linux (lie-nucks or lee-nucks)
	  * provide people with the latest distributions of Linux
	  * give advice as to what hardware and software to buy
	  * answer any questions people have regarding Linux
	  * share and provide software and ideas
	  * help users set up their Linux hardware and software

We're at the stage where we're looking at best times to meet and
various things we can discuss at meetings, so please, feel free to
contribute. Please direct any questions/comments to me at
root@vinny.csd.mu.edu. Computer Services Division (CSD) or Marquette
University do not have any connection with this organization.

If you join MU-LUG, I would also recommend that you also join the
Milwaukee UNIX Users Group (MUUG). If you want more information about
the MUUG, send an email message to info@milestn.mil.wi.us. There is
also a Linux Users Group of Milwaukee and Joe Greco has a mailing list
running off Solaria. (I forgot the address. Anyone?)
